I Heart Keenwah – Chocolate Puffs
Chocolate Craving? We’ve got you covered – covered in rich dark chcolate, that is. You just opened a crunchy, munchy snack that’s as good as it is good for you. We start with quinoa – the little see that’s a natually complete source of protein with all 9 essential amino acids – then we finish it with foodie-worthy flavors that you’re not gonna want to share.
I received the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Keenwah Puffs in my Vegan Cuts box. These puffs are crunchy, creamy and tasty all at the same time. The puffs are coated in quality dark chocolate and have a subtle peanut butter flavouring. The puffs are only 140 calories and 4g of protein for a 70.8g bag! This product is vegan, gluten-free, GMO-free, and made with fair trade certified ingredients. I think that’s amazing! This product will satisfy your chocolate cravings, with zero guilt attached! This will definitely be a product I consider repurchasing. If you like quinoa, dark chocolate, and peanut butter then you will LOVE this product.
Peeled Snacks – Peas Please
Baked organic crunchy pea snack.
At Peeled Snacks, our goal is to make you feel good about snacking. Our first veggie snacks, Peas Please are made with organic whole peas and whole grain brown rice.
Delicious, baked and crunchy Peas Please will surely please.
Vegan Cuts also provided a sample pack of the Peas Please snack – “garden herb” flavour. This snack is GMO-free, gluten-free and organic. Peas Please tastes great (a little salty and a little cheese-y) but the thing I didn’t like about this product was the texture. The texture reminds me of a cheese puff… and the thought of eating a green cheese puff made my stomach turn. I don’t think I would personally repurchase Peas Please but I would check out other products created by Peeled Snacks (assuming it’s plant-based).
Choice Organic Teas – Organic Easy Digest
Soothe your stomach with this warming tonic formulated to aid digestion and relieve occasional indigestion and nausea associated with ordinary motion sickness.** Ginger is the hero of this blend – an aromatic and time-honored remedy for occasional stomach upset.** It’s paired with turmeric, popular in ayurvedic tradition to enhance general well-being.** Together, with lemongrass, they deliver a tasty cup that will have you feeling like yourself in no time.** (Caffeine Free)
The other day I was plagued with a horrible stomach ache. Luckily, Vegan Cuts sent me this Organic Easy Digest tea with ginger and turmeric. After steeping the tea according to the directions, I was able to enjoy a delicious tea while soothing my stomach pains. This tea truly worked its magic. Shortly after drinking this tea I began to feel better and was able to enjoy the rest of my weekend. I think this tea should be a staple in everyone’s tea collection.
Vegan Rob’s – Wild Rice Chips
Wild Rice will make you wild for more Wild Rice.
The Vegan Rob’s Wild Rice Chips are good, but I think the flavour is lacking. These Rice Chips are lightly salted, gluten-free, GMO-free, kosher and vegan. The actual chip has so much potential, but the lack of flavouring makes this snack extremely boring. Unfortunately, I just don’t see myself ever reaching for this product as a snack to cure my salty weekend cravings. However, after creeping the Vegan Rob’s website, I think I will be purchasing the Tumeric flavoured chips and the Banging Cheddar Popcorn in the future!
No Whey! Foods – Pretzel NoNo’s
Pretzel No No’s by No Whey are the No No’s with crunch, starting with a gluten-free pretzel center and then wrapped with chocolatey and candy perfection. Surrounded by an awesome naturally colored vegan candy shell, these treats are free of common allergens including milk, nuts, and soy, making them the perfect snacking option for those who are needing to avoid the 8 common allergens in addition to wanting the best in vegan treats.
I LOVE NoNo’s! They’re so delicious and addicting. I personally love pretzels (I know, I’m weird!), so eating a candy and chocolate coated pretzels is heaven to me! NoNo’s are a great treat for those sweet tooth cravings. I will definitely be ordering more NoNo’s soon.
All in all, I loved receiving the Vegan Cuts Box. I think it’s a great way to discover new brands and products! I hope to order a new box in the future… and maybe next time I will test out the vegan/cruelty-free makeup box.
