Easy Banana Bread Recipe
I love seeing brown and overripe bananas because that means I get to make fresh banana bread! There are so many different delicious banana bread recipes available on the internet but my favourite recipe is quick, easy and chocolaty! And who doesn’t love chocolate!?
- 3 ripe bananas
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1.2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 3/4 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
Begin by smashing the ripe bananas in a medium size mixing bowl. Then, mix in the almond milk and both extracts.
In a separate bowl, add the dry ingredients. Wisk.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix. If the batter looks dry, add a little more almond milk (just a splash!). Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Bake for 50 minutes. Check if the bread is done by sticking a toothpick in the centre of the dish. If the bread is done, the toothpick should come out clean (with a little chocolate on it, of course!).
Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes.
