The Chia Egg

I love chia seeds!

In order to veganize a recipe, I have been replacing traditional eggs with the chia seed egg! These little seeds are packed with Omega-3 fatty acids and fibre. It’s really easy to make a chia egg and here is how!

Equivalent to 1 traditional egg:

1 tablespoon of chia seeds

3 tablespoons of water

Mix the water with the chia seeds.  Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes, stirring at the 5 minute mark.  Once the mixture is gooey and thick, it should be ready!
