Oven Baked & Crispy – Spicy Cajun Sweet Potato Fries

Who doesn’t love sweet potato french fries? Here is a simple vegan recipe that I like to make when I want a quick and easy hot snack.

We can all agree, there is nothing worse than mushy and soggy fries. Most people want oven baked french fries that are delicious and crispy.  These sweet potato french fries are so easy and satisfying.  If you follow this recipe, you will not be disappointed.

Ingredients:

1 large sweet potato
1 teaspoon of olive oil
Hot Sauce

Spices (1 teaspoon each):
Salt
Pepper
Italian
Old Bay
Cajun

Process:

Cut one large sweet potato into thin slices.  Cut to desired thickness (the thinner, the better in my opinion).

Throw fries into a medium sized bowl and soak them in cold water for 40 minutes.  Drain and pat dry.

Drizzle 1 teaspoon of olive oil over the sweet potato fries.  Add spices.  Toss fries in mixing bowl.

Place fries on baking sheet (I used tin foil to cover the baking sheet for easy clean up).

Add hot sauce (I used Sriracha).

Bake for 10 minutes at 400F.  Flip fries and bake for another 20 minutes. Flip again and broil for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool and ENJOY!
