Now that 2016 has come and gone, it’s time to start thinking about a New Year’s resolution for 2017. It’s always a good idea to begin the new year with good intentions to make small life changing personal improvements. Completing a New Year’s resolution is such a satisfying feeling!
This year, I plan on eating healthier meals and packing a lunch for work on a regular basis. I also want to hit my yoga mat at least three times a week, to improve my overall health. Small changes like this can make a big difference in your life!

Here is a great healthy meal to start the new year off right!
Cremini Mushrooms Lettuce Wraps
1 Cup Cremini Mushrooms
1/2 Red Onion
1/2 Spanish Onion
1 Clove of Garlic
1 Head of Iceberg Lettuce
Salt & Pepper
Fresh Lime Jui
Thug Kitchen’s Chickpea Mixture
Begin by chopping the cremini mushrooms, red onion, Spanish onion, and garlic. Saute these ingredients with olive oil in a small frying pan.
In the meantime, wash the iceberg lettuce and
pluck 3 large leaves to use as the lettuce wraps. Then, peel and shred the carrots and mango into a small mixing bowl. Add freshly squeezed lime to the mango carrot mixture, adding salt and pepper for taste.
Once the mushrooms are done, begin preparing the lettuce wraps. Top the mushrooms with the leftover Thug Kitchen chickpea mixture and the the carrot/mango mixture.
