2 Easy Dips Perfect for Cinco de Mayo

Hola Amigos! Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner, so here are two Mexican-inspired plant-based dips perfect for your Cinco de Mayo party!

These two Cinco de Mayo dips are quick, easy and packed with flavour!

Easy Pico de Gallo

Ingredients:

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 white onion
  • 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup of parsley
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 jalapeno
  • Lemon Juice
  • Lime Juice
  • Salt & Pepper

Dice the tomatoes, onion, garlic and jalapeno. Add all ingredients to bowl and mix.  Let chill for 1/2 hour and serve.

Easy Guacamole

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tomato diced
  • 1/4 cup of Cilantro
  • 1/4 cup of Parsley
  • 1 jalapeno

Begin by mashing the avocados. Dice the tomato, jalapeno and onion.  Finely chop the cilantro and parsley. Add all ingredients to bowl and mix.  Let chill for 1/2 hour and enjoy!

    Fantastic dips and I’m surprised by parsley being added to both – I’d always use coriander but interesting to see that traditionally parsley is used too 😄
